Chandra Tal- or Lake of the Moon, located in Himachal Pradesh, India, lies over 4km above sea level, and in the image below its stunning waters almost perfectly reflect a calm himalayan day.
The name of the lake comes from its shape- a half moon, and one of the most interesting things about the lake is that there is no visible above ground water source, however there is an outlet for the water, so the lake must be being fed from underground.
